12 Arrested After Brutal Fan Brawl Rocks Terminus Terrace
Chaos erupted just after 6pm on Saturday, March 18, when violent disorder broke out between rival football fans at Terminus Terrace, near the junction with Oxford Street.

Police Crack Down with 12 New Arrests
Following tough investigations, police have now made 12 more arrests on suspicion of violent disorder. The suspects range in age from 16 to 45 and hail from Southampton and surrounding areas including Dibden Purlieu, Bursledon, Curdridge, and Chandler’s Ford.

- 18-year-old man from Curdridge
- 24-year-old man from Southampton
- 29-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford
- 21-year-old man from Southampton
- 37-year-old man from Southampton
- 21-year-old man from Bursledon
- 20-year-old man from Southampton (two suspects)
- 32-year-old man from Southampton
- 16-year-old boy from Dibden Purlieu
All have been released on bail with strict conditions as inquiries continue.
Chief Inspector Vows No Tolerance for Violence
“The vast majority of football fans come to enjoy the game and want no trouble,” said Chief Inspector Stuart Ratcliffe. “But a small minority use it as an excuse for crime. We won’t tolerate that.”
“These arrests follow intense work from our officers. We’ll keep hunting down everyone involved in this disorder.”
Earlier, ten men were arrested at the scene and remain on conditional bail pending further investigation.
