Tunbridge Wells Stabbing Shocks Neighbourhood – Street Locked Down

Tunbridge Wells remains on edge after a shocking stabbing incident on Sherwood Road. The entire street is still on lockdown this afternoon, with police officers stationed at both ends of the cordon. Nearby residents reported hearing the urgent landing of an air ambulance at Temple Grove Academy just before noon.

Emergency Services Swarm Scene

Officers and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service were quick to respond. Sherwood Road has been sealed off between Greggs Wood Road and Conneyburrow Road, causing heavy delays. Forensic teams were seen entering flats at numbers 67 and 69 Sherwood Road, while the rear gardens remain guarded by police.

Murder Investigation Launched

Kent Police confirmed a man died at the scene following the stabbing. They were called to the address at 10.42am on Tuesday 17 July 2018. A knife was recovered, and a local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The victim and suspect are believed to have known each other.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are continuing their investigation into the chilling daylight attack.
