Man Charged with Murder After Dover Death
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 66-year-old in Dover. Kent Police were called to a disturbance on Anstee Road at 10.12pm on Monday, 11 December 2023. Officers, along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, found the victim with multiple injuries. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched an immediate investigation. On Friday 15 December, a 36-year-old man, Ajay Porter from Oswald Road, Dover, was arrested. The Crown Prosecution Service has now charged him with murder and possession of a bladed weapon in a public place.
Porter has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 December.
One Arrested Man Released
Another man, aged 35, was also arrested during the probe but has since been released without charge.
