Man Stabbed in Arm After Youths Smash Windows in Leasowe

Police are hunting for a gang of youths after a man was stabbed in the arm in Leasowe during the early hours of Saturday, 13 July.

Violent Night on Kingham Close

At around 3.30am, a group of five or six youths were reported smashing the windows of a property on Kingham Close. When a man in his 20s confronted them, he was attacked and sustained a stabbing wound to his arm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and took the victim to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Detective Inspector Peter Rexwinkel said, “We are in the very early stages of investigating this incident, but it appears a group of youths caused criminal damage and then attacked a man with a knife when challenged.

“Neighbours reportedly came to his aid. We are appealing to anyone who saw the incident or has information to come forward.

“The offenders, all wearing dark clothing, fled on foot. If you live nearby, please check CCTV footage. Drivers in the area should review dashcam recordings for any useful clues.”

“Knife crime devastates communities. I urge families to talk and educate about its dangers. There’s no place for knives on our streets.”
