Early Morning Clapham Triple Stabbing Leaves One Dead

A brutal triple stabbing in Clapham just after 4 a.m. this Sunday has claimed one life and left two others fighting for theirs. The attack happened on Wandsworth Road, near the Clapham and Battersea border, sparking a rush of emergency services to the scene.

Emergency Crews Rush Victims to Hospital

The London Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics and an air ambulance scrambled to the location. Three victims were treated on-site, but sadly, one died at the scene. Another was taken to a major trauma centre, while a third was taken to hospital.

Wandsworth Road Closed as Forensics Swarm Crime Scene

Wandsworth Road remains shut between Queenstown Road and Lambourn Road as forensic teams comb the area for clues. A large crime scene tent stands witness to the severity of the attack. The closure is causing major disruption, with traffic affected between Clapham Junction and Clapham Old Town, and three London bus routes diverted.

Police Appeal for Witnesses as Community in Shock

Local residents reported hearing shouting in the early hours. Police, joined by a police dog, are patrolling the area. Chief Inspector Darren Langton appealed:

“We are working tirelessly to establish the circumstances that led to this tragic event. We urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious early this morning to come forward.”

The stabbing has reignited fears over rising knife crime in London. The Met Police vow to do all they can to catch those responsible and prevent further violence. Calls are mounting for tougher safety measures including the use of knife arches and more police patrols in vulnerable areas.
