Teen Vanishes En Route to Shop in Peckham – Family Desperate for Answers

Rodgers Cena, 19, disappeared without a trace on Wednesday, January 22, while heading to a local shop in Peckham. His family is distraught and sleepless, baffled by his sudden vanishing act.

Phone Found 17 Miles Away in Stranger’s Turf

Rodgers was sent out by his parents to grab ingredients for a homemade pizza night. But when he didn’t return, panic set in. His father, Eduart Cena, revealed the family’s agony: “We called him over and over, but no answer. Then messages stopped going through.”

Adding to the mystery, Rodgers’ phone was uncovered 17 miles away in Waltham Cross, an area totally unknown to him. CCTV footage from Peckham’s Lidl, where he was meant to shop, shows no sign of Rodgers. “He’s never pulled a stunt like this before,” said Eduart.

Family Friend: “It’s Way Out of Character”

Rodgers is described as shy and “vulnerable”. New to Peckham with his family, he rarely ventured far from home or spent nights away. Family friend Melissa Corps said, “He doesn’t usually leave the house. Missing for two nights is terrifying.”

More Clues Only Deepen the Mystery

Tracking later placed Rodgers near the M25 in Waltham Cross and even as far as the Liverpool Street area. “He’s usually glued to video games, never out like this,” Eduart said, stunned. Rodgers was last seen wearing a dark puffer coat, grey hoodie, and dark joggers.

Call for Help: Police Investigate as Family Pleads

The Metropolitan Police are on the case. Anyone with info or sightings is urged to call police on 101, quoting CAD 3745/23jan25.

“I just want to hear from him and know he’s safe,” said Eduart, desperation heavy in his voice. “We haven’t slept. We just want him home.”

As hours tick by, the family’s hope wavers but never fades. Rodgers’ mysterious disappearance remains a chilling puzzle.
