Suspect Arrested After Early Morning Incident
Sussex Police confirmed a 57-year-old bristol/" title="Bristol" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bristol man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after an incident at The Grand Hotel on Kings Road in the early hours of Tuesday. According to reports, private security removed the suspect after a female attendee alleged inappropriate touching on her backside during the three-hour event.
Liberal Democrats Condemn Incident and Cooperate Fully
“We are deeply shocked by this incident. We have fully cooperated with the police in identifying and apprehending the suspect, who has since been suspended from the party. We have also offered support to the complainant,” a Lib Dem spokesperson said.
Police Confirm Ongoing Investigation
In a statement, Sussex Police said: “A 57-year-old man from Bristol has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault by touching in relation to an incident at The Grand Hotel, Brighton. The individual remains in custody as the investigation continues.”
