Elderly Woman Attacked in Broad Daylight on North London Street
A 78-year-old woman was caught up in a terrifying robbery attempt on 4 October around 2.50pm on Broomfield Avenue, N13. Two men tried to snatch her handbag near the junction with Aldermans Hill.
Despite the struggle, the brave pensioner held onto her bag but fell and hit her head during the tussle. The attackers fled towards Pilgrim Close, leaving her bruised and shaken. Thankfully, she did not need hospital treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses After Daylight Robbery
Detective Constable Lizy Martos said: “The victim has been left shaken up by this incident, which happened in the middle of the day. I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information about this crime to contact police as soon as possible.”
