More than £12,000 seized from convicted drug dealer Jordan Griffith will be pumped straight back into the battle against crime in Epsom.

Dealer Jordan Griffith Locked Up for 14 Months

Jordan Griffith, 30, from Sutton, was locked up for 14 months at Guildford Magistrates Court on March 11. Caught red-handed with drugs and cash, Griffith was hit with a £12,380 confiscation order under the Proceeds of Crime Act, plus a £156 fine.

£12k Cash to Fund Crime-Fighting Efforts

The seized money won’t gather dust. Thanks to the Asset Recovery Incentivisation Scheme (ARIS), the cash will fund police equipment, boost investigations, and help victim compensation.

“Seizing illegal profits allows us to turn criminality on its head,” said Sergeant Adam Staplehurst from the Epsom & Ewell Safer Neighbourhood Team.

How Griffith Got Busted

  • October 2021 – Cops spot a car idling suspiciously on Gately Avenue, Epsom.
  • They smell cannabis and detain the passenger.
  • Griffith tries to flee the scene but is chased and caught.
  • Police find ‘smell-proof’ bags stuffed with cannabis and thousands in cash inside the car.
  • A search of Griffith’s home uncovers more cannabis, phones, SIM cards, drug paraphernalia, and over £11,000 hidden in a safe.

The passenger was issued a Community Resolution for possessing drugs. Griffith was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class B drugs. Now his stash is set to bankroll crime-fighting across Surrey.
