Windsor Woman Guilty of Sexual Activity with Child After Shocking Incident
Leah Cordice Found Guilty in Windsor
Leah Cordice, 17, from Windsor, has been convicted of sexual activity with a 13-year-old boy. The unanimous jury at Reading Crown Court delivered the guilty verdict on March 4, following a Thames Valley Police probe.
Illegal Relationship Led to Baby in 2017
The disturbing relationship resulted in Cordice giving birth in 2017. DNA tests confirmed the boy was the father. The case came to light in June 2018, sparking Cordice’s arrest on July 9 that year.
Jury Rejects Rape Claims, Rules On Multiple Encounters
During the trial, Cordice claimed the boy raped her four times. The jury dismissed her claim and found she had sex with the boy at least five times between December 2016 and August 2017. She was acquitted of two additional counts.
Victim Praised for Bravery
“The victim has been through a traumatic time, including learning he was a father so young and facing rape allegations,” said Detective Constable Charlotte Jack of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit. “He gave his evidence in open court with great courage. I thank him and his family for their patience and support throughout.”
Cordice is due for sentencing at Reading Crown Court on April 3.
