Staggering 435 Knives Seized in Bexhill Knife Crime Raid
Police smashed a massive knife crime operation in Bexhill, swooping on a property and confiscating 435 blades. The haul included everything from push daggers to flick knives disguised as pens and house keys.
Knife Dealer Busted After UK Border Force Tip-Off
The East Sussex Tactical Enforcement Unit launched the raid after UK Border Force intercepted a package of flick knives. The suspect, a 68-year-old man, is believed to have been importing these deadly weapons and selling them online.
Due to a serious health condition, he wasn’t arrested but gave a voluntary interview and has now been released while investigations continue.
Police Warn: Carrying Knives Puts Lives at Risk
“These harmful items have no place on our streets and we are committed to keeping East Sussex a safe place to live by preventing dangerous items entering our communities,” said Inspector Howard Nevill.
“Let me be absolutely clear that carrying knives is extremely dangerous and puts you and those around you at an increased risk of harm.”
