Ex-Wiltshire Police Officer, 20, Pleads Guilty to Child Abuse Image Charges
Callum Denley’s Guilty Plea Rocks Wiltshire
Former Wiltshire Police Constable Callum Denley, 20, from Malmesbury, has admitted to multiple charges involving indecent images of children. The shocking plea was entered today at Swindon Magistrates’ Court.
Denley was immediately suspended as soon as the force learned of the offences. He resigned from the police force before facing court.
What He’s Charged With
Denley faces five serious charges, including:
- Making indecent images of children, covering Categories A, B, and C (with Category A being the worst)
- Possessing an extreme pornographic image
- Possessing a prohibited image of a child
The offences came to light during an investigation which uncovered disturbing images seized from Denley.
Wiltshire Police Condemn and Act Swiftly
Wiltshire Police didn’t hang about once the allegations surfaced. Denley was suspended at once and resigned before his court date. The force has publicly condemned his actions.
“As soon as these allegations came to light, the officer was immediately suspended. He resigned prior to appearing in court. The force is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional behaviour, and any breach of these standards will be thoroughly investigated and dealt with appropriately.”
