Driver Caught Red-Handed with Drug Messages on Phone

Kieron Cavanagh’s luck ran out on the evening of 7 November 2019. Salisbury Crown Court heard how police pulled him over driving a BMW with a faulty headlight along the A435 from Devizes to Durrington.

Officers spotted his phone open on the centre console, flashing messages linked to drug dealing. They immediately swooped.

Cash and Cocaine Found After Arrest

Cavanagh was detained under section 23 for drug misuse. A search revealed £450 in cash in his wallet. He was arrested on suspicion of involvement in supplying Class A drugs.

Faced with the evidence, Cavanagh confessed where officers would find cocaine in his home. He was taken to Melksham custody for questioning.

Admits Selling Drugs for Two Months

During the interview, Cavanagh admitted to selling drugs for two months. Police raided his house and uncovered 15 small bags of cocaine.

Tests confirmed the stash had a street value of around £500.
