Suspicious Activity Sparks Police Action

Police swooped after a tip-off on Monday, October 10, alerting them to dodgy goings-on at a property on Pett Level Road, Winchelsea. Officers found clear signs of a break-in and a ransacked home with missing items.

Forensics Pinpoint Suspect

After careful forensic work, 27-year-old Noah Heyworth-Cooper, who has no fixed address, was identified as the prime suspect. A month later, on Thursday, November 10, police caught up with him in Bexhill.

Arrest Leads to More Charges

Heyworth-Cooper was pulled over in a vehicle and arrested for burglary. A search also uncovered a knife and cannabis in his possession. This landed him additional charges of carrying an offensive weapon and illegal drug possession.

Facing Court, Bail Set

He was charged on all counts and thrown into custody. On Saturday, November 12, he appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court and was granted conditional bail. His next court date is set for December 12 at Lewes Crown Court.
