Police are urgently seeking a key witness after a terrifying attempted knifepoint robbery in Reading. Two men on e-bikes tried to snatch another rider’s bike at knife-point on Pell Street near Elgar Road at around 11.30pm on Saturday 4 April.

Suspects Described as Arabian Males

  • One suspect: slim build, 5ft 8-10ins tall, short dark hair, black tracksuit with hood up
  • The second: slim build, about 5ft 7ins, short hair with a brown moustache, olive top under blue zipped puffer jacket, black trousers

The victim, a man in his twenties, suffered minor injuries but managed to keep hold of his bike. No ages have been released for the suspects.

Witness Spotted on CCTV Yet to Come Forward

Police released CCTV footage showing a male who witnessed the dangerous incident but hasn’t yet spoken to officers. Thames Valley Police are urging this witness and anyone with information to step forward immediately.
