Owner Faces Multiple Charges After Fatal Attack
Ashley Warren, 40, from Leyton, London, now faces serious charges including two counts of owning or being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing death. This marks a significant use of the new legislation aimed at cracking down on dangerous dog breeds.
Warren, who used to live at the attack address, is also charged with possession of a fighting dog, breaching the Animal Welfare Act, carrying a bladed weapon, and possessing a Class B drug. He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on August 22.
