Man Shot in Early Morning Clash in Dagenham
A man is in hospital with gunshot wounds after chaos erupted in East London at the crack of dawn. A woman was also hurt during the violent disturbance in Dagenham on Monday morning.
Gunfire Rocks Selinas Lane at 3:32 AM
Police rushed to Selinas Lane just after 3:30am on 23 June following reports of a large fight. Officers arrived to find a crowd scattering from the scene.
At the scene, a man in his 30s was found with serious gunshot injuries. Emergency services treated him before rushing him to hospital, where he is now in a stable condition.
Woman Suffers Head Injury in Related Incident
A woman, also in her 30s, was discovered nearby with a head injury. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
Police have set up a crime scene on Selinas Lane and the surrounding areas. So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“We’re working to establish exactly what happened in the early hours of this morning. We urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch,” a Met Police spokesperson said.
