Cop Booted from Met After Sending Lewd Snap and Hair-Groping Colleague
PC Rahman Caught Red-Handed
A Metropolitan Police officer has been dumped from the force after a shocking misconduct hearing revealed he sent a female colleague an unsolicited photo of his private parts.
PC Rafiqur Rahman didn’t stop there — he also repeatedly twisted the woman’s hair without her permission while they were on duty in a police car.
Repeated Hair-Tugging and Lewd Messages
The female officer reported feeling deeply uncomfortable as Rahman touched her hair about 10 times during a shift back in February 2021.
Later, he crossed the line by sending her a picture of his penis, followed by a question about its size – claims Rahman denied at the hearing.
Dismissed and Banned from Policing
Following the investigation, Rahman was put on restricted duties. But on February 12, 2024, a misconduct panel ruled both charges proven and booted him from the Met.
Ch Supt Simon Crick, responsible for policing in Newham and Waltham Forest, slammed Rahman’s behaviour as “disgusting” and affirmed, “Rahman has no place in the Met or policing and has now been rightly dismissed.”
Rahman will also be added to the College of Policing’s Barred List, banning him from any future police job in the UK.
