Motorbike Crash Horror: 27-Year-Old Rider Rushed to Hospital with Serious Head Injury

A 27-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after a terrifying motorbike crash in the early hours of Sunday. Locally named as Sam Gibbons, the rider is reported to have driven the wrong way up a closed road on the Pan Estate in Newport, Isle of Wight.

Emergency Rush to Crash Site

Emergency services scrambled to Pan Lane, near Prices Garage, shortly after 2am. An ambulance, rapid response paramedic, and other teams arrived quickly to treat the injured rider.

Serious Injuries But Lucky to Be Alive

Sam suffered a serious head injury and a fractured cheekbone. A family member confirmed: “He’s lucky to be alive.” He was taken by ambulance to hospital for urgent care.

Fighting for Life in ICU

Sam is currently in the intensive care unit at St Mary’s Hospital. Friends and family are deeply worried and hoping for a full recovery.
