Heartbreaking: Puppy Thrown From Car Window Dies in Passer-by’s Arms
Puppy Dumped Like Rubbish on Freezing Coventry Road
A tiny eight-week-old puppy was cruelly thrown from a car window on Aldermans Green Road, Coventry, before dying in the arms of a kind stranger. The shocking incident unfolded outside the Old Crown pub last Thursday morning at around 10.20am.
A passer-by spotted a white van swerving suddenly and rushed over to find the injured pup lying in the road. Wrapping him tightly in her coat against the freezing cold, she tried desperately to save his life. Sadly, the little dog died before help could arrive.
RSPCA Launches Investigation into ‘Horrific Act’
The RSPCA called the incident “horrific,” with inspector Ben Jones appealing for witnesses. “It appears the puppy was callously thrown from a vehicle like a piece of rubbish,” he said. Although no one actually saw the puppy thrown, CCTV shows a white van slowing near the scene.
Ben added: “There were no other injuries found on the puppy’s body. He wasn’t microchipped, so we are keen to find anyone who may know where he came from before this dreadful act.”
Good Samaritan Speaks Out
“I saw a van swerve to avoid something, then I saw the puppy,” the woman explained. “I wrapped him up tightly as it was freezing and heard him make a noise, so I thought he was alive. I did everything I could with towels and heat pads, but he died in my arms.”
She added: “He smelled awful, like he hadn’t been looked after properly. It’s terribly upsetting. I don’t understand how anyone could be so cruel.”
