Teenager Dies After Motorbike Crash in Islington

A 16-year-old boy has tragically died following a motorbike crash in Beechcroft Way, Islington, in the early hours of Tuesday, October 22.

Crash Scene and Suspected Stabbing

Emergency services were called at around 12:10 a.m. after reports of a motorbike hitting a lamppost. Paramedics found the teenager injured and attempted to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 12:12 a.m. to reports of an injured boy in Beechcroft Way, Islington. It is believed the 16-year-old was riding a motorcycle that collided with a lamppost. When medics examined him, a suspected knife injury was found.”

Ongoing Investigation and No Arrests Yet

Police have set up multiple crime scenes nearby, including Courtauld Road, where an altercation may have taken place, and Sussex Road. No arrests have been made so far.

The boy’s family has been informed. A post-mortem will take place in due course.
