Daylight Horror: Man Jailed for Raping Teen Girl and Leaving £10

A depraved sex predator has been locked up for nine years after brazenly raping a 15-year-old schoolgirl in broad daylight – then callously leaving her just £10 in cash.

Attack in Alley Near Harlesden High Street

23-year-old Deangelo Brown struck on March 10 last year. The chilling assault happened in an alleyway off Harlesden High Street, London, as the terrified schoolgirl waited for her bus.

Brown forced the girl down the side-street by claiming he was armed, before terrifyingly attacking her. Witnesses heard her screams and rushed to her rescue, finding her sobbing and in distress in her school uniform.

Brave Witnesses Helped Bring Attacker to Justice

  • A passerby comforted the victim and called the police.
  • A nearby witness captured parts of the attack on their phone, shocked by the screams.
  • Police arrested Brown nearby shortly after the attack.

Brown callously left £10 at the scene as he fled – an insult to the horrified victim.

Justice Served: No Remorse, Nine Years Behind Bars

Brown was sentenced to nine years in jail plus four years on licence after being found guilty of rape and sexual activity with a child.

Kerry McNulty from the CPS said: “This was a horrific sexual attack in broad daylight on a child in school uniform. The prosecution included CCTV and mobile footage, and the victim identified Brown in an ID parade. He showed no remorse and dragged the victim through a trial despite overwhelming evidence.”

“The young victim has shown immense courage giving evidence. We hope this conviction helps her move forward.”

The court also awarded £800 to the brave witness who came to the girl’s aid. Brown’s chilling crime has finally met its long-overdue punishment.
