Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Wembley Stabbing
A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder following a brutal stabbing in Wembley earlier this week that claimed the life of Shazad Khan.
Details of the Arrest
The Metropolitan Police confirmed Zaher Zaarour, 26, from North Circular Road, was charged on Thursday, 21 August, with murder and possession of a bladed article. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 22 August.
The Shocking Incident
Police were called to reports of a stabbing at 6:10pm on Tuesday, 19 August, in Monks Park, Wembley. Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated 41-year-old Shazad Khan, but tragically he was pronounced dead despite their efforts.
His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Additional Arrest Made
A 31-year-old woman was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. She has been bailed to return in September while police continue their investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said: “I would like to thank the community for their help and support during this investigation. Residents can expect to see an increase of officers in the local area over the next coming days as the investigation continues.”
