Brighton Gun Drama: Woman Arrested After Shots Fired in Rock Place
Police have arrested a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder following a tense altercation in Brighton on Monday, 19 October. The incident, which reportedly involved a firearm being discharged, unfolded in Rock Place just before noon.
Gun Fired but No Injuries
The drama erupted shortly after 11.50am, involving three people. One suspect was armed, and shots were fired at the scene. Thankfully, the victim escaped without injuries.
Officers launched a search for two suspects — a man and a woman — but initially failed to find them. The arrested woman was picked up at a central Brighton address and has since been bailed under strict conditions as the investigation continues.
Police Hunt Continues for Second Suspect
Detective Inspector Donna Ward told reporters: “Our investigation is moving at pace and we are continuing to progress lines of enquiry in order to establish the circumstances of this incident.”
She added: “Whilst an arrest has been made, the investigating team are keeping an open mind as to her involvement.”
Police are appealing for public help to track down the other two suspects:
- Man: White, mid to late 20s, short mousey brown hair, wearing dark blue jeans and a black puffer jacket.
- Woman: Late teens or early 20s, slim build, long blonde hair, wearing a red coat with fur trim around the hood.
