Woman Jailed for Grooming 14-Year-Old Boy in Shocking Abuse Case
Kelly Wolf, 28, from Enfield, was slammed with a 2 year 9 month prison sentence after being found guilty of grooming and sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy. The Wood Green Crown Court convicted her on Thursday, March 15, of two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, plus arranging or facilitating a child sex offence.
Grooming Horror Uncovered
Wolf, who was 26 when the crimes happened, targeted the vulnerable teenager between September 13 and September 24, 2016. Police were alerted the day after the abuse ended when the boy was reported missing. His parents feared he was involved with Wolf.
A friend of the boy confirmed their worst fears, telling police he had witnessed the pair having sex in a public park. When police questioned the victim, he initially stayed silent but later confessed after returning home with his mother to Edmonton police station. He revealed Wolf had groomed him by sending explicit text messages.
Swift Police Action and Tough Sentencing
Wolf was arrested on September 26, 2016, and charged almost a year later on July 14, 2017. She was then put on bail, awaiting her court appearance. On April 23, 2024, she was slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for at least 10 years, barring her from contact with minors.
Detective Urges Victims to Speak Out
Detective Constable Rob Bushell from the Met’s Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command said: “These sorts of crimes are rarely reported to the police, as male victims often feel scared to speak to us about being victims of grooming. I hope that today’s sentencing will urge other boys to come forward if they have been a victim of this type of crime.”
