Young Man, 21, Fatally Stabbed in South London Knife Horror

Tragedy on Hillingdon Street

A 21-year-old man has died after a savage stabbing on Hillingdon Street, South London. The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder probe following the brutal attack.

Emergency services were scrambled at 9:16pm on Monday, April 14, after multiple 999 calls reported a stabbing and a group spotted carrying knives in the SE17 area. Victim Giovanny Rendon Bedoya was found with serious stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Six Arrested – Half Released, Three on Bail

Police swiftly arrested six suspects in connection with the stabbing. Three have now been released with no further action, while the other three remain on bail as inquiries continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, leading the investigation, said:

“We received multiple 999 calls reporting that a young man had been stabbed and a number of people were seen carrying knives. Officers arrived to find a 21-year-old man with serious injuries. He was treated at the scene before being sadly pronounced dead.”

Giovanny, a Walworth local, had his family informed and they are receiving support from specialist officers.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

DCI Blackburn issued a public plea to anyone in the area at the time:

“We believe there were many people in the area who saw the group but haven’t yet come forward to speak to police. Were you in the Hillingdon Street area on Monday evening? Did you see anything suspicious or anyone carrying a knife? If so, please contact police.”
