12-Year-Old Boy Robbed at Blackbird Leys Sports Ground
A 12-year-old boy was targeted by a thief at Sandy Lane Sports Ground in Blackbird Leys on Friday morning.
Thief Snatches Mobile Phone After Grabbing Boy’s Arms
At around 8.20am on 13 November, an unknown man approached the boy, grabbed his arms, and reached into his pocket to steal his mobile phone. Fortunately, the youngster was not hurt during the frightening ordeal.
Police Hunt White Male Suspect in Early 20s
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in tall, and believed to be in his early to mid-twenties.
He was wearing a zipped black coat with a furry hood pulled up, light white/grey top underneath, blue gloves, black jeans, black Nike trainers, and a plain black face mask.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses
“This was a terrifying experience for the victim, who thankfully was not hurt,” said Detective Constable Rebecca Nightingale. “We’re investigating thoroughly and urge anyone who saw the incident or recognises the suspect to come forward.”
