A blue Ford Kuga hit an elderly woman on Kennington Road at 5.10pm on Wednesday 22 November 2023. The collision happened right by the William Harvey Hospital junction, causing chaos and road closures for hours.

Ambulance Airlifts Woman to London Hospital

Emergency crews, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The woman, in her 80s, was flown to a London hospital and remains in a serious condition.

Driver Arrested as Police Launch Investigation

A 63-year-old man from ashford/" title="Ashford" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Ashford was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is currently under investigation.
