Thieves Smash Shop, Drag Off Cash Machine in Bold Burglary

Detectives from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are hunting the crooks behind a brazen cash machine theft in Northfleet.

The smash-and-grab took place just before 12.15am on Thursday, 28 November 2019, at Northfleet Food and Wine on the High Street.

Van Rams Shop Front to Pull Out ATM

Two suspects drove a white Ford Transit van straight into the shop front—not once, but three times—causing serious damage. They then strapped up the cash machine and dragged it out of the store.

The van towed the cash machine along the High Street and onto College Road in a chilling daylight-style heist.

Getaway Van Found, Fiesta Suspected as Accomplice

The getaway involved a blue Ford Fiesta believed to be following the van. After a search, officers found the Transit abandoned in Lodge Lane with the stolen cash machine still inside.
