Hampshire Gears Up for Police and Crime Commissioner Vote

Hampshire voters head to the polls on Thursday 5 May to choose their next Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). The result will be announced bright and early on Friday 6 May.

All Candidates Sign Up to Clean Campaign Code

Mark Heath, Hampshire’s Police Area Returning Officer (PARO), confirmed that every PCC hopeful has signed the Electoral Commission’s Code of Conduct for Campaigners.

“It’s crucial campaigners can freely present their views to voters, but it must never put the election’s integrity at risk,” said Heath. “The Code sets clear rules on what behaviour is acceptable at polling stations and across communities during the campaign.”

Protecting Fairness at the Ballot Box

The Code serves as a vital guide for campaign teams, election officials, and police forces alike, ensuring a free and fair election without dirty tricks or intimidation on the streets of Hampshire.
