Family Pays Heartfelt Tribute to David Dawson After Fatal A272 Crash

The family of 83-year-old David Dawson have shared a moving tribute following his tragic death in a road collision on the A272 at Cowfold on March 28. They said David will be “sadly missed and fondly remembered.”

David was passionate about golf, regularly playing at Worthing Golf Club. He also dedicated his time as a volunteer at the Littlehampton RNLI Lifeboat Station, a role close to his heart.

Lifelong Sheffield United Fan and Beloved Family Man

His love for Sheffield United Football Club ran deep, marking him as a lifelong supporter. At home, David was a much-loved father to two sons, a proud grandfather of four, and a devoted brother.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Sussex Police are currently investigating the collision. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to come forward. Witnesses can email [email protected] and quote Operation Banwell.
