Man Arrested After Chilling Kidnap and Burglary in Sudbury

Disturbing Incident at Hall Rise

Police have detained a man following a terrifying burglary and alleged kidnapping of a young girl in Sudbury. The drama unfolded at around 8.15pm on Thursday, September 7, at a home on Hall Rise.

The suspect reportedly spoke to the girl in the kitchen before leading her outside to the backyard. He then lifted her through an open window into a summer house and quickly fled the scene.

Rapid Police Response and Arrest

Alarm bells rang when the girl went missing, sparking urgent searches by police and family members. Just days later, on September 10, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and kidnapping. He is currently in custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre, where he remains under questioning.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers are hunting for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area during the incident. Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact West Suffolk CID immediately, quoting crime reference number 37/52327/23.
