Brutal Bottle Attack Shocks Clapham Bar
Detectives in Lambeth have launched a hunt for a bottle-wielding thug who brutally attacked a man inside a Clapham High Street bar in November 2017. CCTV footage has been released as cops appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Man Smashed Over Head After Harassment Claim
At 2:10am on Thursday, 23 November, police and London Ambulance rushed to the bar following reports of a serious assault. The 27-year-old victim was confronted by the suspect, who accused him of harassing his girlfriend before pushing him and repeatedly bashing his head with a bottle.
Bar staff quickly stepped in, ejecting the attacker. The victim sustained head injuries requiring medical treatment and was left with visible scarring on his forehead.
Suspect Description Released – Police Urge Witnesses to Help
The suspect is described as a white man with a stocky or muscular build, balding blond hair. He wore a white shirt with a green waistcoat, blue jeans, and black shoes at the time.
Detective Constable Christel Tchakounte from Brixton’s Crime Support Unit said: “Due to the violent nature of this unprovoked attack it is important that we identify and locate the suspect as soon as possible.”
