Late-Night Stabbing Shakes Watney Street
A man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing on Watney Street, East London, late Sunday evening. Police paramedics were first on the scene, administering emergency first aid before the London Ambulance Service arrived.
Crime Scene Locks Down Large Area
Authorities have sealed off a sizeable area including Martha Street, Sutton Street, and Watney Street as investigations get underway. The Met Police confirmed the attack happened around 10:30pm near Cornwall Street.
Victim Stable, Police Seek Witnesses
The victim, a 19-year-old man, is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made yet, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers dealt with a stabbing in Cornwall Street / Watney Street #E1 #Shadwell at 10:30pm last night. The 19-year-old man was taken to hospital – his condition is not life-threatening. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”
