Masked Thugs Launch Brutal Attack on 20-Year-Old in Edinburgh
A young man was viciously assaulted just after midnight on Main Street, Edinburgh, in a shocking late-night attack.
The Attack
The 20-year-old had just left a pub at around 12am when three men wearing dark clothes and balaclavas ambushed him. Armed with a weapon, the attackers struck the victim and fled the scene in a red saloon car.
Serious Injuries and Police Appeal
The victim was rushed by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
Detective Inspector Kevin Tait said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed or has information on the incident to get in touch. I’d particularly ask anyone who was in the pub on Main Street that night or who saw a red saloon car around Davidson Mains to come forward.”
“We are reviewing CCTV footage and urge anyone with dashcam videos of the attack or the vehicle involved to contact us immediately.”
