Third Arrest Made After Shocking Shooting Spree on Carnation Road
Police have arrested a third suspect following two terrifying shooting incidents on Carnation Road last month. The first attack took place around 10pm on Thursday, 22 October, when two gunshots shattered the calm and damaged a front door.
Second Shooting Rocks Same Street
Just a week later, on Thursday 29 October, shots were fired again — this time at a different home on Carnation Road. Thankfully, no one was hurt in either incident.
Three Men Now in Police Custody But Still Under Investigation
- A 56-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were initially arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
- A 37-year-old southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton man was recently picked up on the same charge.
All three have been questioned and released but remain under close investigation as police continue to piece together the full story.
Police Urge Locals to Check Dash Cams & CCTV
“We know people have been concerned about this incident but we want to reassure you we are following all available lines of enquiry,” said Detective Inspector Howard Broadribb.
“Gathering crucial evidence is ongoing, and we’re keen to hear from anyone who was around Carnation Road, Stoneham Lane or Bassett 1 Road on the evenings of October 22 and 29.”
Drivers with dash cam footage and residents with CCTV are urged to check their recordings. Police said: “You may have captured something vital.”
