Knife Threat Outside Tesco in Andover Sparks Police Hunt

Police are on the lookout after a man was menaced with a knife outside Tesco on Cricketers Way, Andover.

Shoppers Terrorised by Knife-Wielding Thug

At around 2:15pm on Saturday, April 25, a 33-year-old man was threatened by two men as he entered the Tesco store. After finishing his shopping, he was confronted again outside, this time by one of the pair brandishing a large knife.

The victim also spotted up to four other men nearby—two cycling with hoods up and two walking from the skate park.

Chase Ends with Knife Thrown at Getaway Car

Thankfully, the man escaped into a friend’s waiting car. But as they drove off, the knife-wielding attacker gave chase and hurled the blade at the vehicle. Fortunately, the knife missed its mark.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The suspect is described as a slim, black male, about 20 years old, around 6ft tall, wearing a light-coloured t-shirt and shorts.

Officers have stepped up patrols and are reviewing CCTV footage. They’ve spoken to some witnesses but urgently want to hear from anyone who was queuing to get into the Tesco at the time.
