Police launch urgent hunt after man in his 30s sexually assaulted in Lewes on Christmas Eve.

Attack Near Pells Pool Late on Christmas Eve

The victim was near Brook Street, close to Pells Pool, between 10pm on December 24 and 3am on Christmas Day when the assault reportedly took place.

Dedicated Police Unit Working Round the Clock

Detective Inspector Gavin Patch promised swift action: “Following the launch of this investigation, we want to reassure the public that a dedicated team is working tirelessly to explore every lead.”

He added police patrols will increase across Pells Pool, Brook Street, Eastgate Street, and Lansdown Place during the probe.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

DI Patch urged anyone in Lewes that night to come forward. “If you saw anything suspicious, have any footage, or information that could assist, please get in touch.”
