Parents Plead for Help After 13-Year-Old Hit by Hit-and-Run Driver
The desperate parents of 13-year-old Mei Jones are appealing for witnesses after their daughter was knocked down in a hit-and-run yesterday morning.
Mei was crossing the A32 at Corhampton near the Meonstoke shop at around 7.45am when a car struck her and sped off without stopping.
Schoolgirl Seriously Injured on Way to School
Mei was on her way to catch a bus to Swanmore College when the shocking crash happened. Her parents, Greg and Kate Jones, are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Kate Jones: “Mei is in hospital with multiple facial fractures and will need surgery in the coming days. Thankfully, there are no other injuries.”
“Her head took the full impact but her brain scan came back clear. She can’t remember what happened, which is terrifying for her.”
