Man Slashed in Moreton Hall Horror

Police rushed to a stabbing in Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds, at around 10.15pm on March 22. A man in his 40s was stabbed and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition is now stable.

Masked Attackers Flee Scene

Five suspects, dressed in dark clothes and face coverings, made a swift getaway. Detectives believe it was a targeted attack, ruling out any danger to the wider community.

Arrests and Ongoing Investigations

  • Sebastian Smith, 47, was nabbed in south east London on April 2 and brought to Suffolk for questioning.
  • Smith appeared charged at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on April 4.
  • A 44-year-old Brixton man was released on bail after two arrests on suspicion of murder.
  • A 38-year-old man is also on bail following a March 30 arrest for the same charge.
