Child Abuser Locked Up for Over Three Years After Shocking Attacks in Chatham
A vile sex offender who preyed on a child in Chatham has been slammed with a hefty 3 years and 4 months behind bars.
Glenn Colombier’s Dark Crimes Exposed
Glenn Colombier, 26, from Rainham Way, Bow, east London, first denied sexually abusing a child under 13. But after evidence mounted, he admitted the horrific offence that took place between March and April 2018.
The grim details unfolded at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, 16 March 2020.
Threats and Racist Abuse on Top of Sickening Offence
While under investigation, Colombier didn’t stop at abuse. He sent threatening texts and launched aggressive, racially abusive phone calls at a police officer and social worker working the case.
At the same court, he also pleaded guilty to sending malicious, racist messages. To make matters worse, he will be on the sex offenders register for life.
Police Praise Victim’s Bravery and Pledge Justice
“Colombier is a vile character and his disgusting behaviour has rightly put him behind bars,” said PC James Finch of the Medway Vulnerability Investigation Team.
“I applaud the victim for their bravery in reporting this abuse and helping to bring Colombier to justice.
We have a dedicated team of specialist officers who treat this kind sexual assault with the utmost sensitivity and who relentlessly pursue sexual predators. I hope this result gives other victims the confidence to come forward.”
