A man in his 40s has been arrested following a brutal stabbing at an under-16 Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) match in Cookstown, Co Tyrone. The violent incident unfolded at Paddy Cullen Park on Convent Road, sending shockwaves through the community and prompting swift action from PSNI officers.
Two Stabbed, One Hospitalised
During the altercation, two individuals were stabbed. One victim was rushed to Antrim Area Hospital, while the other was treated at the scene. The man in his 40s was taken into custody for questioning as police launch a full investigation.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service arrived promptly after a 999 call at 9.03pm IST. Emergency crews treated the victims before one was transported to hospital for further care.
