Railway Star Nabbed for Drink Driving After Swerving on South Woodham Ferrers Roads
Govia Thameslink Face Caught Over Limit
Abby Rose Boon, 30, a familiar face for Govia Thameslink Railway, was pulled over after police spotted her swerving drunkenly along the streets of South Woodham Ferrers. The Luton-based passenger host, a mother of one, blew a staggering 85mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath—more than double the legal limit of 35mg—during a breath test on July 8, 2020.
Police Sniff Out Dangerous Driving
Essex Police flagged the vehicle after spotting erratic driving. “This car raised our suspicions after we saw it swerving across the road,” an officer said. “After stopping the car, we arrested the driver when she failed a breath test.” Boon was detained overnight due to her high reading.
Serious Charges and Court Date Set
Boon now faces serious consequences. She’s been released on bail and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on September 26, 2020, at 10am. Due to COVID-19 delays, her case was pushed back, but she could now face up to six months in prison, an unlimited fine, or a driving ban of 17 to 22 months.
