Sunningdale Man Gets Suspended Sentence for Violent Punch Attack

Antony Stevenson Found Guilty of Assault

Antony Stevenson, 33, from Rise Road, Sunningdale, was convicted of grievous bodily harm by a unanimous jury at Reading Crown Court on Friday (10 June). The charge stems from a violent incident back in March 2021.

Incident Began Over Suspicion of Photography

Stevenson landed two punches on a man who he believed was taking photos of his home. The victim was attacked on 21 March 2021, triggering a police investigation.

Suspended Jail Term Sends a Strong Message

Stevenson was sentenced to 20 months in prison, suspended for 18 months. Thames Valley Police made it clear they won’t tolerate violence in the community.

“This investigation shows Thames Valley Police will always work hard to prosecute offenders who commit violent crimes,” said PC Arshid Ali of Maidenhead police station.

“Now that Stevenson has been convicted and sentenced, I hope the victim can find some closure.”

PC Ali also thanked colleagues involved in bringing the case to court, reinforcing the force’s commitment to tackling serious offences.
