Car Rolls on Sharp Bend: Church Street Shut After Dramatic Crash

Church Street in Rudgwick was shut this afternoon after a woman rolled her car on a nasty bend between Ellens Green and Rudgwick. The smash happened just after 4pm on Wednesday, November 1st.

Fire Crews Race to Rescue Trapped Driver

Emergency services swooped in as the woman’s Ford flipped on the sharp corner. Firefighters from West Sussex Fire and Rescue, based in Billingshurst, arrived fast and freed the driver trapped inside the overturned car.

Woman Treated at Scene, Taken to Hospital

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service treated the woman on-site before rushing her to hospital for further care. Surrey Road Policing officers were also on hand, managing the scene and organising the vehicle recovery and road clean-up.

Traffic Back to Normal After Quick Response

After a brief closure and diversion around the accident site, Church Street has now reopened to traffic, easing driver delays.
