Heroic Rescue as Kayaker Capsizes off The Needles
The Needles Coastguard and Yarmouth lifeboat sprang into action today after a kayaker capsized and spent a harrowing 30 minutes in the chilly sea.
Rescue Team Scrambles to Save Capsized Kayaker
A passing vessel spotted the stranded kayaker and pulled them aboard before heading straight for Yarmouth Harbour. The Yarmouth Lifeboat launched immediately to speed the casualty ashore.
Victim Treated for Severe Cold at Hospital
Medics quickly assessed the kayaker, who was extremely cold following the ordeal. They were then rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment and observation.
