Delivery Rider Spotted Cycling on M25 Motorway Sparks Outrage
A jaw-dropping clip has surfaced showing a cyclist riding along the M25 motorway — one of the UK’s busiest and most high-speed roads.
Shocking Footage Goes Viral on TikTok
Shared on TikTok on May 12, the 11-second video shows a rider sporting a bright turquoise bag, thought to be Deliveroo-branded, cycling on the hard shoulder. The clip has racked up over 1.1 million views, captioned: “Got to 1 the M25.”
Motorists can be seen slowing from 70mph to around 40mph, careful as the cyclist boldly navigates the traffic. A flashing motorway sign warns drivers about the cyclist ahead, highlighting the sheer risk of the stunt.
Deliveroo Denies Rider Affiliation – Safety Concerns Mount
Despite the distinctive bag, Deliveroo confirmed the rider is not one of their couriers. The firm stressed it takes rider and public safety seriously, pointing to its strict onboarding rules and road safety training aligned with the Highway Code.
Viewers were quick to react. Some slammed the dangerous behaviour, relieved no accidents occurred. Others cracked jokes about the unusual delivery route and wondered what kind of tip the reckless rider might get.
This M25 stunt has reignited calls for tougher measures to keep vulnerable road users off UK motorways and protect lives on the busy ring road.
