Chaos hit Heathrow Airport’s left runway on Wednesday afternoon when smoke was spotted billowing from a British Airways Boeing 777. The plane had just touched down from Shanghai Pudong, sparking immediate concern.

At around 4pm, firefighters from Heathrow’s airport fire services and the London Fire Brigade sprinted to the scene. Thankfully, airport fire staff had the situation under control by the time they arrived, preventing a major incident.
