Flight Attendant Dies in Fatal M2 Crash

Flight attendant Heidie Lee Locke tragically died at the scene of a collision on the London-bound M2 carriageway. Paramedics fought to save the 50-something Nissan Qashqai driver but she was pronounced dead at the spot.

Man Arrested Over Reckless, Drunk Driving

The crash involved a red Mercedes-Benz C 200 AMG driven by a 40-year-old man now held on suspicion of causing a fatal accident while intoxicated and driving recklessly.

Tributes Pour In for “Lovely and Caring” Heidie

“She was a lovely woman whose life was tragically cut short,” said Teresa Delafons, a coworker and friend.

“Heidie, a United Airlines crew member, was always ready for a laugh and kept us entertained on flights. She started her career with Pan Am and was charming and considerate. Everyone who knew her will miss her.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

The London-bound lanes were shut for 10 hours as Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit probed the crash. Officers are especially keen to speak to the driver of a light-coloured van who may have seen the Mercedes pass before the crash.

Heidie’s brother in the US has been informed. Police appeal for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
