Maidstone Man Busted with Bags of Class A Drugs
A suspected drug dealer has been charged after a dramatic police swoop in Maidstone.
Undercover Sting Near River Medway
On 4 February 2020, plain-clothes officers spotted a man acting suspiciously near the River Medway by St Peter’s Street. They moved in and detained him in a nearby car park.
Heroin and Cocaine Haul Found in Mercedes
During the arrest, police seized 17 wraps of heroin and 23 wraps of cocaine stashed inside a parked Mercedes.
19-Year-Old Charged and Remanded
Leandro Silva, 19, from Kennet Walk, Reading, was charged on Saturday 2 May with conspiracy to supply both heroin and cocaine.
He was remanded in custody and is set to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 4 May 2020.
